Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ChatKOOL at chatkool.org (the “Platform”), creating an account, or interacting with any part of our service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use ChatKOOL. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Eligibility Requirements
ChatKOOL is exclusively designed for college and university students. To create and maintain an account, you must meet ALL of the following requirements:

Age: You must be at least 18 years old. ChatKOOL is not intended for users under 18 years of age.

Student Status: You must be currently enrolled in a college or university in the Philippines, or have been enrolled within the past 12 months.

Legal Capacity: You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Philippine law.

Previous Bans: You must not have been previously banned or permanently suspended from ChatKOOL for violations of these Terms.
Your Account
Account Registration
When you register for ChatKOOL, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You must use a real name and a valid student email address. Fake accounts, impersonation, or registration with false information is strictly prohibited.
Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. Do not share your login credentials with anyone. Notify us immediately at security@chatkool.org if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
One Account Per Person
Each student may only maintain one active ChatKOOL account. Creating multiple accounts to evade suspensions or bans, or for any other reason, is a violation of these Terms.
Acceptable Use Policy

- ✅Use ChatKOOL on any personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes

Harassment & Bullying: Threatening, intimidating, harassing, stalking, or bullying any user. This includes repeated unwanted messages, hate speech, and discriminatory language based on gender, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation.

Spam & Scamming: Sending unsolicited messages, posting repetitive content, promoting pyramid schemes, phishing, or any form of financial fraud or deception.

Impersonation: Pretending to be another student, public figure, university official, or ChatKOOL staff member. Creating fake accounts or using misleading profile information.

Illegal Content: Sharing, uploading, or distributing content that violates Philippine law, including but not limited to content related to illegal drugs, weapons, CSAM, or piracy.

Privacy Violations: Sharing another person’s private information without consent (doxxing), recording or distributing private conversations, or any other violation of a person’s privacy rights.

Platform Abuse: Attempting to hack, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt ChatKOOL’s infrastructure. Using bots, scripts, or automated tools without written permission.

Commercial Use: Using ChatKOOL for unauthorized commercial activities, selling products or services without our written consent, or using the platform for advertising purposes without an official partnership.
User Content Rules
Your Content, Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all content you post, upload, share, or transmit on ChatKOOL (“User Content”). You represent and warrant that: (a) you own your User Content or have the right to share it; (b) your User Content does not violate any law or third-party rights; and (c) your User Content complies with these Terms.
License You Grant to ChatKOOL
By posting User Content on ChatKOOL, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the ChatKOOL platform. This license ends when you delete your content or account.
Content Moderation
ChatKOOL reserves the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, without prior notice. We are not obligated to monitor all content but will act on reports and flagged content promptly.
Academic Integrity
ChatKOOL encourages genuine academic collaboration. However, using the platform to facilitate cheating, plagiarism, contract cheating (paying others to complete your work), or any form of academic dishonesty is prohibited and may be reported to your institution.
Intellectual Property
ChatKOOL’s Intellectual Property
The ChatKOOL name, logo, platform design, code, features, and all related materials are the exclusive intellectual property of ChatKOOL and are protected by applicable Philippine and international intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit written permission.
Copyright Infringement
If you believe content on ChatKOOL infringes your copyright, please send a notice to legal@chatkool.org with: (a) a description of the copyrighted work; (b) the URL of the infringing content; (c) your contact information; and (d) a statement confirming your good faith belief that the use is unauthorized.
Your Rights to Your Content
You retain full ownership of all original content you create and post on ChatKOOL. We do not claim ownership over your posts, messages, or any other User Content. The license you grant us (described in Section 5) is limited to platform operations only.
Account Suspension & Termination
Termination by You
You may delete your ChatKOOL account at any time through your account settings or by emailing support@chatkool.org. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms. The severity of the violation determines the action taken:
If you believe your account was suspended in error, you may appeal by emailing appeals@chatkool.org within 14 days of the suspension notice. We will review all appeals fairly and respond within 7 business days.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
⚠️ Important: ChatKOOL is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
Platform Disclaimer
ChatKOOL is a social platform for students and is not an educational institution, tutoring service, mental health provider, or employment agency. Information shared on ChatKOOL by users is peer-to-peer and should not be treated as professional academic, medical, legal, or financial advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, ChatKOOL and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of reputation, or emotional distress caused by other users.
User-to-User Interactions
ChatKOOL is not responsible for the conduct of any user on or off the platform. Any disputes between users should first be reported through our moderation system. We are not liable for any harm resulting from interactions between users that occur outside of our direct control.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ChatKOOL shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Philippine courts.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at legal@chatkool.org to resolve disputes informally. We commit to making a good faith effort to address your concerns within 30 days.

Additional Terms
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, constitute the entire agreement between you and ChatKOOL regarding your use of the platform.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of those rights.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users via email and post the updated Terms on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of ChatKOOL after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
